A BLUE COCK - DIESEL ADVERTORIAL
01.06.2010

I've been getting my hands nice n' dirty lately following up on my relationship with Norwegian SMUG magazine. I've been commissioned to contribute with a follow-up fashion story for their current spring/summer issue #02. No sloppy seconds here folks, oh no. This time I worked with Diesel shooting an advertorial for the brand. Inspired by their recent "Sex Sells - Unfortunately We Sell Jeans" campaign this advertorial puts the 'cock' back into cockalorum.

HORSES DON*T LIKE POSING AGAINST WHITE BACKDROPS
28.03.2010

My partnership with the minimalistically exuberant fashion store FREUDIAN KICKS in Oslo continues. The store concept is designed to offer the customer an inspiring and diverse shopping experience. Artists are invited to display, and to integrate their work into the boutiques interior decor - one at a time. Artworks come in all kinds of artistic-expressions; installation works, graffiti/painting, interior sculptures and photography.

Currently I am exhibiting two large format photographs at Freudian Kicks' store mounted next to the main doors. One, displays a horse's buttocks. The other, well...have a look for yourself. They were done using UV printing onto aluminum. Size 100 X 140 cm. And YES, my good sir, they are for sale. They will set you back 16.000 kr (NOK) for the pair.

COVER COMEBACK
31.01.2010

I give you Nikolaj Lie Kaas, and the cover story of February- months issue of EUROMAN. The issue features an 8-page article on the successful Danish actor, shot in a portrait-style manner. The shoot, minimalistic yet carefully orchestrated, follows in the footsteps of my previous fashion work with use of perspective shift.
'Cause all of us need some fresh perspective every once and a while!

SMUG MAGAZINE ISSUE #01
04.01.2010

The Norwegians just outdid themselves with launching one of the coolest magazines to ever be dipped in the norwegian fjords. It's called SMUG magazine.
The premiere issue was released in mid-December after having been well refined for months and months beforehand. When asked to, I seized the opportunity to contribute to the new release with a fashion story called "DEMONUMENT".
SMUGs editors also interviewed me about it on their blog. Btw, you're in luck if you know norwegian (well, it's more like a criteria actually)!

SMUG mag comes with four covers variations. Here are two favorites of mine.

HAUTE COUTURE CATALOGUE
04.10.2009

Lately I've had the privilege of working with haute couture designer NINA SKARRA on her spring / summer 2010 catalogue. Norwegian, born and raised, Mrs. Skarra certainly has a lot of balls for reinventing herself every season in such a niche fashion market as haute couture. A strategy which has served her and her brand well. I'm looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

The catalogue, as you can imagine, mostly consists of studio-based work. But we also headed out to Telemark, Norway to do a few shots for the book in some of the wierdest rock-landscape I've ever seen in my life. With our Nordic, partly Romanian (1/9) team, we batteled flocks of mosquitoes whilst relentlessly fine-tuning poses and camera angles to their utmost potential.

In addition to a great catalogue, I happen to like how this off-the-record shot of our team turned out.

ROYAL TREATMENT
11.04.2009

I'm happy to have been invited to showcase some work specimens at this year's Original Print Fair (22-26 April) hosted at the Royal Academy in London.

Thing is, I'm currently in the midst of producing an ambitious set of picture-plates for a solo exhibition which also will be held in London later on this summer. The Royal Academy show will thus serve as a splendid warm-up to try out my new workpieces on the London fine art scene.

So get your jumpsuits on and drop by the R.A. Print Fair this April if you're able to. Sure would be nice to see you!
